Dear readers,

We would like to take this time to thank our wonderful faculty advisor, faculty reviewers, fellow Merge staff members, and our submitters for taking the time to help make this year’s issue possible. We appreciate them for contributing to this issue, despite lingering pandemic constraints.

This year’s issue is rather special to us as it marks our first issue as sole co-editors. The learning process has been an invaluable one as we continue our transition to this new, innovative platform Athena Commons. We appreciate the level of patience and flexibility of each contributor as we navigate this exciting direction for our research journal.
