MIZE COMMISSIONER ZULA W. BANKS ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER STATE OF MISSISSIPPI Jackson Saturday night Dear Molly— You're a mighty sweet girl. I appreciate the money so very much but you shouldn't have done it. You spend too much on me. I sent the $10 to the bank and will give the other to Bro McKee. I'll use mine to go on me some dress shoes of some kind- I had saved $500 of my sewing money so I'll have plenty to get me some real nice shoes. Daddy enjoyed seeing you. I would have gone along too but I knew it was such a hurried trip I wouldn't have time for anything so I declined. I was so gad to get the new parts to my machine. It sews like a new one now I oiled and cleaned it up good today. It had been doing terrible work. I haven't done so much this week. I made Baby Sister a little white blouse which is right cute. They are all ready for Easter tomorrow. I hope it doen't rain. Ora B is having an egg hunt for the little kids. Mary has dyed 3 doz eggs. the prettiest I've ever seen I wish you could be at home tomorrow. Leon gave us a nice chicken and I have it dressed I also have chocolate custard made for cream We might not do that well next Sunday but maybe you can get by till you get back to Memphis. If you have time try to see about getting Sonny Boy a harmonica before you come here. He has written to me to send him some candy and a french harp. Somebody said you might get a harp at a music store or maybe at some other dept. store. I have written to Victor to get me some chewing gum and bar candy at the Px when I get it all together I want to get it mailed as soon as possible. It takes so long to get there. We got a letter yesterday and two today. The one I got this afternoon was written last Saturday—exactly one week coming— He sent it air mail. He said Bus Johnson didn't have a thing in him now as he had been promoted to P.F.C. OFFICE OF MOTOR VEHICLE COMMISIONER FRANK F. MIZE COMMISSIONER ZULA W.BANKS ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER STATE OF MISSISSIPPI JACKSON Pittsboro is coming to the front. Jess Crawford has a new porch on his house. Mrs. C is happy again. Wallace wired her after he got back to Calif. that he had taken her advice and wasn't getting married now. Mrs. C. said her prayers had been answered. She might to pray harder that this war would end. I still have Mary's navy blue dress to make I'll be glad when its finished. I kinda dread making it. I must get all my own sewing done for the time is passing fast. Have you figured any way to get off a little sooner than the 15th? You get a schedule via Tupelo, Birmingham etc. with pullman. Find out if that wouldn't be better than going by Jackson. See what a pullman ticket will cost. If not too much we'll get a pullman It would be so much easier. In the meantime, I'll get the prices schedules etc from Grenada via Jackson and will can decide while you're home just how is best to go I'll get Leon to get the information at Grenada next week. When we would leave and when we would get there etc We'll decide which is the best route and make reservations immediately. Well, I'll see you Saturday. Let us know when you'll reach Grenada. And be sure to get the above mentioned information relative to have schedule and post fare via Tupelo— Lots of love and thanks again Happy Easter Mother.
