Dear Martha-
I got the lace and think it is
pretty. Why didn't you keep the dollar?
I didn't want you to pay for it- Thanks
a lot and I put the dollar in my
church envelop.


I'm making my striped gingham
two piece and I think I'm going to like
it fine. I thint I'll wear it on the
train when we take our trip.


Daddy got back from Jackson yesterday.
He didn't do much but find out who to
line up if he decides he wants something
down there. He wants a job at the
insane hospital. How do you think I'd
like to live out there? Today he has
gone to Columbus air base to see if
there is anything open. Leon went with
him or rather he went with Leon.
If he gets something over there we
might go over there to live and 
come home weekends. That's all


just a possibility for I'm very pessimestic
about him getting a job unless it's some
kind of day work as carpenter or such.
I'm sending you Chris' last letter provided
she hasn't written to you lately. She should have


put the date two days later which is my 50th
birthday. Is there anyway you can fit your
teaching schedule so that we could leave
by the 10th or 11th? I'd like to be with


Chris some before the event I know
we could have a much better time because
as she says she'll be leaving right after
the ceremony and it may be a long time
before we'll ever be with her anymore.
and as she quitting work a week prior


She could go around and show us the
town.
I got your letter this morning and glad
your roommate is there and to help


you out too.
Don't bother anymore about the blouse
material. Mary can get some white material
around here and I'll get it made for Sunday.
