S. H. SMITH PITTSBORO, MISS. 10 FEB 1944 Dear Mother & Daddy, I didn't get any mail for quite a while but it is catching up with me now. I go t twelve letters yesterday. The latest one dated Jan 11th. I got a letter from Mrs. Hardin, an answer to one that I wrote her before I came over. I also got a letter from John Ellard. He is having to study pretty hard. I never got the box from Aunt K. C. I may get it yet but I don't guess it will be fit to eat. One of the boys got a big box yesterday and we all gathered around to throw a feed. When he opened it, it was a big carton of chewing tobacco. I wasn't allowed to tell what I was doing in the last camp. I wasn't doing anything but laying around dodging K.P. etc. Well that's all the room I have. Love SonnyBoy
