Sept. 20, 1942 Pauline you will never know how very much I enjoyed your very interesting letter and do please write me again won't you. I am so interested in you and yours, all our kin and old friends - I just love hearing of every one. I have had a grand summer Pauline - met lovely people made some friends but none like my old one. I am sending you another folder so you can see where I have been going to church on Sunday I have enjoy this, It's really a lovely spot, the prettiest beach on Lake Pleasant. Lovely service The music grand. Its four miles from us, a beautiful drive. I think it's run mostly by the Methodists but every denomini- nation there - people from every where. I met a lovely woman and her two daughters from New Jersey they said they hadn't miss spending every Aug there in 14 years. They are Presbyterian, cultured people. I visited in their tents - in fact - I was in every place and it's all interesting. I bought a book "Thus Saith the Lord" very helpful. I am leaving Tuesday for Marys - I think now I'll go to Calif. in Nov. Frank is back there and is anxious I come. Pays my way and he may not be there so long, as you can't tell where they will be sent but at present he is stationed there at the Navigation School near Sacramento. Hugh, Cliffie's oldest boy finished his officer's training in New Jersey last Monday. Was ordered to report for duty this Tuesday at Tampa Fla. I do hope Allen gets real well.
