Dear Martha,
How are you getting along?
As for me I am fine. I just thought
I would drop you a line to let you
know we are all well. 
Christine has lost her job and 
Is now under momma's coat tail.
I have caught four birds in a trap
since you left, ont two red birds and
2 jays. I cut a notch in their
tails when I catch them and
turn them loose. I cut the notch
so I can I identify them when 
I cath them again. The red bird
bit a plug out of my finger. 
J. C. Foar Jr. bought got a 
Bicycle and he rode it up here
Sunday. We have company
tonight the is kinfolks (cousin  Chester 
Uncle Vick and Uncle Foss. They
are playing dominos. They play
every night till 12 oclock. Uncle
Chester is sitting by lookin on
I wish you could hear some


of the expressions they use at 
the game. r They call cousin
Chester kinfolks and daddy

We have two county attorney
now. Joe Sheffield had studied
it out before now and when the 
time came got the books down
and read the law to them
and showed them somehow
that Lamar was not
leagally elected. I a got the
keys and lockedtt door
and would not let anybody
else in. Nora and Edward
came up Sunday and asked
Bernice to stay with them 
and she is now staying with
them. John Ellard is now

Uncle Chester, came in to
borrow a suit case and daddy
gave him his whop sided grip
and he was sorter ashamed
of it but took it anyhow.


He said bid would put some
paper in it to fill it up 
to straighten it.
