Dear "Sweet heart"
I am not going to get this off
in time for you to get it Wed morning
I hear the train leaving out now. I
intended to mail an hour ago but
had an engagement with W.J. Evans
which I suppose will be the last one
as the house will close the banking
act tomorrow.
It is still cold here but not as
cold as last night - down to 15°. This
morning I heard someone say I know
you got cold and am sorry I could
not help it.
The hour about played out of any thing
sensational and are just grinding
away our routine affairs. I am of the
opinion that three more weeks will
find us away from here.

There is some reorganization work that
could be accomplished but the general
opinion is that Gov. is going to suck
in his tent and prevail in his faction
and adjourn as soon as possible, "suits
me."
I have not had time to look for
"Sonny Boys", "globe" but am going to try
to find it tomorrow.
Dennis informed me he saw the
land commissioner and that he
(the Com) talked very favorable, will pass
the matter further when and if the
measure passes the house.
If it gets any colder maybe you
could arrange for you Geo and Bess to
sleep together with Geo in the "middle"
Bess could keep a line on him I should
think you might mention it to her

I know you have noticed in the papers
but the rain in central Miss was terrific
Sun, all streams in the country are
level full and some out the
[illegible] here was very high but no
serious damage like other parts
I saw Gov and S Makey at the Capital
today also Jim Taylor didn't know what
they wanted - they left out about Mon.
I am shy of news - so had just as
well quit - will see you Fri in the
event it is agreeable and not [illegible] 
hindered.
